The final PMI data for January will be the key economic releases this week. Japan, the Eurozone, the United Kingdom, and the United States have all shown improvement in their preliminary PMI figures for January. MENA PMIs will also be released this week.
In China, an eventful week awaits with the release of Caixin China PMI data, as well as CPI and PPI data for January. The Caixin services index is expected to increase slightly to 53.0 in January. China's CPI and PPI are expected to persist in their deflationary trend due to weak demand and slower growth. Bloomberg Economics suggests a 50% chance that deflation in China will continue into the first half of 2024.
